Bel Canto Technique and Interpretation
Currently there are no masterclasses scheduled. But please register your interest and you will be notified of upcoming opportunities. You may wish to sign up to the bel canto online course series 'How to Sound Amazing' for the release of the new course materials beginning with Breathing for Singers. You also have the opportunity to receive the FREE pdf breathing guide.
Master classes and workshops are be given by Dr. Ken Querns-Langley and are open to all classical singers. This is tremendous opportunity for up 10 students to be chosen by audition to sing in the masterclass. Each student will be expected to prepare 2 pieces for their 30 minute public masterclass however a single full-length Bel Canto aria may be suitable. The pieces should be classical, relevant to the Bel Canto period and should express the singer's vocal skill, interpretation and compass.
An accompanist will be provided however you may bring your own. You may audition by filling out the registration form and emailing your CV, a video or recording of your choice of at least a single piece from the 18th or 19th centuries, and the reason why you think you should be chosen for the master class. Singers may be chosen on the recording alone however there is the possibility that you will be asked to sing in person before the master class.
The Bel Canto Vocal Studio is the only registered trademarked provider of bel canto training in the UK.
